This is pretty good! Just remember that having a PURE black background or super dark colors on things flattens them out, ESPECIALLY in 2D, so your character loses a little bit of that 3D illusionistic pop that some works have. Keep working on shading and maybe give her a soft shadow underneath her extending forward. Also some highlights in the hair or a rim light around the top of her head would do wonders! Keep at it! Good stuff!
